On Dec 21, 2019, wombat MARU departed this life. She died at the age of 3.
She was a wombat in Trowunna Wildlife Park, Mole Creek, Tasmania, AUSTRALIA. Since Oct 4, 2017, she has been in Satsukiyama zoo, Ikeda, Osaka, JAPAN. She is one of the three Animal ambassadors of good will of 50th anniversary of establishment of sister cities relationship between Launceston city (*) and Ikeda city.

On Dec 16, Maru spasms her head, soon then, zoo’s staffs started conducting treatment, but their efforts didn’t come into bloom.
I pray from the bottom of my heart that her soul may rest in peace.
