In Ikeda, the first instant noodle, "Chicken Ramen"(Japanese pronunciation "Chikin Ramen"), was invented by Momofuku Ando in 1958. Osaka Ikeda Chiki-Chiki Tankentai promotes foods made from Chicken Ramen, as unique foods of Ikeda.
